Phone.com™ services that include Address Book allow the storage of all your contacts in one organized location. When your contacts are kept on file, you can assign rules to specific callers and route them to different features such as personalized menus, queues when available or your voicemail service, extensions, and more.

When callers dial your Phone.com Virtual Office number outside of your business hours, they are greeted with a message stating Thank you, office hours, and a menu of message options.

The Phone.com Adapter or ATA is used to connect an analog phone to a VoIP service.  The Adapter connects from one side to a free output of your Broadband (Internet) router and from the other side to an Analog Phone or a base station of a cordless phone.  The ATA is an optional add-on to Virtual Office, and is included with Home Phone plus.

With Phone.com phone services, you are free to select a number in your local calling area or anywhere else in the US.  Phone.com also allows you to transfer your existing number to your account.  Each plan includes at least one phone number. Additional numbers can be added to your plan for an additional charge if you use Virtual Office.  Some of our phone services like Virtual Office also support Global Numbers and enable you to add numbers overseas from about fifty different countries around the world.

Use this feature to block incoming calls from unwanted callers.  The call blocking feature can be activated during a call using [*9] to block or unblock a caller as an in-call feature, by using the Control Panel and navigating to the Inbox or Call Log screens, or by invoking the Call Blocking page from the Numbers tab in Virtual Office.

Phone.com™ Call Forwarding allows you to direct calls to single or multiple phone numbers, including your home, office, mobile or any phone worldwide.  Phone.com services also allow for forwarding based on Caller ID or Schedules.

Call Handling Rules provide for advanced scheduling and routing options for incoming calls.  Using the Call Handling Rules, you can route incoming calls to a single destination or different destinations based on the day and time the call is received through the Internet phone system. It’s all up to you!

Call logs allow you to view all incoming, outgoing, fax calls and missed calls along with the date, time and any applicable charges from within your Phone.com (R) VOIP phone service Control Panel.  You can also download the call logs to a CSV file (that can be used in excel or similar programs).

You can record incoming calls to your Phone.com number. You can also record calls you initiate from the address book and the “Place a Call” button on your control panel.  To listen to a recorded call, visit the Call Logs section of your account after the call has ended.  Locate your call in the list of Call Logs and press the green “Play” arrow to the right of the selected call to play the recording.

Know who is calling and choose to accept or reject their call with the press of a button!  Ring, ring! You receive a call to your Phone.com number which forwards to your cell phone.  When you answer, you hear “You have received a call to [Your Phone.com number] from [the caller's number]. Press 1 to accept. Press 2 to reject.”

Call Transfer is an in-call feature, allowing you to transfer any incoming call to another phone number at the press of a button. The call transfer option includes making an attended transfer.  At any time during an incoming call - Press (*)(2) to activate attended transfer of the call to another party - hang up, the incoming caller and the dialed number are connected. The outbound call is logged in your call logs.

Incoming calls can be Voice Tagged based on the number or the extension the caller dials.  Voice Tagging is part of the advanced features of different Phone.com services and it enables you to specify via text (using our Text to Speech system) a vocal message that will be associated with an extension or menu selection and will be announced to the recipient who answers the call.

Call Waiting works just like the call waiting feature available with a traditional telephone service, when a second call comes in while you are on an ongoing call, you will hear a beep to indicate the call waiting.  By using the Flash Hook button on the phone or a quick on-hook off-hook, the phone will switch between the two calls.

Phone.com Caller ID enables the phone number of the calling party to be displayed on your phone.  Text Caller ID information is fetched by us from a national database of Text Caller IDs as per the Caller’s phone number. Not all carriers from which callers call you, update the records of that national database, hence the text we display may not always reflect the actual name of the business or the person calling.  Phone.com allows users dialing out to select the Caller ID that will be shown on the phones of the people they call.

Caller ID Block, is often used to define hiding of your caller ID on outbound calls, or blocking incoming calls based on the caller ID.  To block caller ID on out bound calls you can go to your control panel and under “General Settings” set the caller ID to “None” or to any of the available numbers that are associated with the account.

You have two phones—your home-based business phone line and your personal cell phone. But, you only want to provide others with one general number. When non-clients call your line, they are routed to your Phone Menu (Menu is available only for business services such as Virtual Office), a special greeting or infomercial, or even to your home number when your actual clients dial-in to your Phone.com (R) number, a rule directs them to your office business line and if you cannot answer, to your business voicemail. When your children call from their cell phones, their numbers are recognized through the virtual phone system and their calls are routed to your personal cell phone, no matter what time it may be.

Just like a calling card, you can use your Phone.com™ account to place calls to any number in the US and overseas.  To place a call, call your number listen to a prompt (or Voicemail prompt) and press *, then enter your extension password.

A chatcall is a personalized audio message that you send to your friend’s phone using our automated messaging system.  When your friend answers, they will hear the customized message you created just for them!  Our chatcalls service is simple and fun! If you own a Phone.com ATA or IP Phone, Phone.com provides Basic 911 coverage nationwide and E911 where available.
